‘BIRDS’ is an exploration of the personality and charm of South Shore wildlife. Inspired by observation and adventures outdoors with my toddler throughout the changing seasons, this collection brings together the colorful, distinct character of our local birds—both year round residents and seasonal visitors—through a creative, multi-step process: from encounters in nature and digital sketching to finished, textile based illustrations in wool felt. These soft, vibrant pieces celebrate the birds we encounter every day, and the joy of discovery through the lens of a mother and child.
